Performance preparation blog(s): Absolute Zero

Today was mostly an errand day. I had to help one of the people I stay with get to work; she crashed her car the day I got here. Luckily she had scheduled her vacation for this week, so not having a vehicle didn’t hurt her as much. Unfortunately they did plan to spend the week away from home, so the money that they had budgeted towards travel expenses is now going to vehicle repair .

So there was that, I cleaned up the area I was staying in a bit. Its always good to be a modest house guest. The hommies were letting me crash on the couch for free, the least I could do was have the place looking nice. I also did some laundry and bought food, the normal human stuff.

That pretty much was the day, plus or minus a few games of CoD. Next order of business was practicing for the Makonnen show. We are only four days away from the  big show. We had to finalize the track list, add new songs that weren’t in the cakes show and make sure everything was generally running smoothly(trying to have a clean show).

Unfortunately I just found out that in addition to Fleetwood, Tank will also be arriving in town on show day. All we can do is tell him to be prepared, and hope for the best. Luckily he is leaving early in the morning so he a bit more wiggle room than Fleetwood does who is leaving Gainsville an hour and a half before soundcheck.

I was also able to confirm Blak Iron,for a guest slot in our show. He did the Cakes show with us and was able to really rock it. So I’m sure he will deliver a great performance on Thursday. He seems really exited for the opportunity and honestly I feel like the whole crew is too.

While we plan for the worst, lets hope for the best at the Makonnen show. Regardless of what might happen, we will make sure that the performance hype.
