Rj Knight’s Music Thoughts on Beanie Sigel’s “I’m Coming” (Track Review)
This is my quick thoughts on Beanie Sigel‘s diss song I’m coming. I think this song is very good, can’t rate it out of 10. The reason is because I have to re-listen to Beanie Sigel older material and rate this by his previous battle or beef songs. Then I have to rate it to battle or beef songs of the year it was released for the minimum requirements to give a rating.

The song I’m coming, really is alerting if you listen to the lyrics. This is something that listeners in today’s climate can easily miss. They listen more to the sonics, vocals or sound aesthetics of a song rather than the lyrics and or bars.
Beanie goes in hard, I don’t like to say that lot but he really does. His flow is great, his schemes are good, his lyrics are mentally stimulating from a lyrical standpoint. Most importantly for me is that his content feels solid as the nuances of violence and battles in modern society is well understood.
Personally alot of times guys talking about violence takes me out of it because I can tell they don’t understand what they are talking about. I am not saying their material can’t sound nice but there is difference when its actually been tempered in that understanding.
This is where Beanie shines as he really hits so hard with this track in a way that I can’t get from Meek Mill and most other artist in the industry. His words at Meek and is crew are so on point its refreshing.
The specter of Beanie Sigel a guy who really in some ways lived this lifestyle haunts the track. When he talks about retaliation, there is a genuine possibility that this is not just talk.
As injured and degenerated as Beanie‘s body is, what is clear is that he is a solider. This doesn’t change regardless of how you feel about his character. Just on the music level this was an excellent track, Its easily one of the better diss tracks in the last few years.\
