I attended Props and Bonds June 18th Saturday Mic Live event. I was really tired because I haven’t slept or slept properly in days (maybe 3 hours every two days if lucky).

Next months upcoming Saturday Mic Live
I always have had a great time attending Saturday Mic Live and I really appreciate what they are doing. I have always talked about, attempted and have aspirations to better help the organic Hip Hop scene. So I always try to backup my word and better support it with action. That being said I arrived really late, I tell you I was tired. The week has been very tiring with all the crazy events and all. I arrived when , (not sure could’ve been later) was finishing his set.
I heard his final song and it was pretty good. Normally I have a few links to the artist and all but I was so tired I forgot to get contacts/information. That being said, Absolute Zero should have some reviews for the artist from previous shows (Props and Bonds). I know its taken sometime… sorry. I have a general review and I am tired but still writing this one.
So like I said I heard Paradox; I don’t remember the song but it was good. Luni and Kosi from Silent Hand Entertainment being really good host and promoters did a great job transitioning to the next act. Which (the next act) was a guy named .
He was pretty nice, some comedy entailed with his twitter handle I believe Satanlovesosa (Inside humor you will understand if you attend just one event). I’m so tired I think I just realized that these are all there contacts (in the promotional post). I’m messing up, but yeah I will link it and you guys should check him out. I can’t remember the tracks he spit, I think one was named Mega Man but I can’t remember the other one.

Oh by the way the Dj was amazing. It wasn’t Velvet Jones but this new person who did a solid job filling in for him. She played with heat, honestly from my time there it was one of the smoothest shows I’ve seen.
If I had any negative aspect to review and its pretty weak sauce if this is it. I personally feel that the that crowd participation could be better. This is a problem for me, but its a personal thing because no matter how I am… I always try to give my participation to the entertainers. I mean its not horrible, people really enjoy themselves and get down. Its just a preference because I personally wish everyone in the audience left it on the floor. Sadly, I have never been to an event where this happened, close.. but never totally happened.
That being said this week was a very sad, somber and dark week. I am happy that people enjoyed themselves and genuinely want to return. I feel strongly that more positivity is needed, not wanted.
Personal preference of participation style
Being a person who loves lyrics, bars and flow. My ears perked up, even in my maximally fatigued state when I heard the tale of . Which by the way was a great introduction hats off to the MCs Luni and Kosi.

Hoodie did an amazing acapella about Miami. It was pretty good, it was definitely Miami. However I thought he would acapella atleast one more time but that was it. He was good enough to raise the attention and get the crowd zoned in, so it was a major let down when he did not continue. I will believe for now that if he did not, then maybe some issue was at hand. Hard to see someone sticking around that long and then not wanting to make the most of their time.

Unfortunately it seemed that one of the performers became ill and could not make it. However MCs from Silent Hand did an amazing job filling in, they also let the room for a Cypher session.
The Cypher sessions went on for a while as the close out. People trickled out but many stayed for a long time to take it in. It was a fun night, smooth and on point.while I was blazed out tired, I had fun supporting Catalyst and Props and Bonds. I will put out next some things I think that could be done for improvement. Normally I would get paid for this but I want to see this grow. I also have am very appreciative towards Catalyst and Props and Bonds. Regardless I think they are doing something big and important. Many talk about the community and say the word community but the functions of the word are lost. Community is a de-developing thing in modern times, esp in Hip Hop.
Catalyst and Props and Bonds are really catalyst for the local Hip Hop scene.
