Raury isn’t a large mainstream voice in hip-hop at the moment. So I’m going to make a few introductory posts for his music. I’m going to showcase the 5 most essential songs in Raury’s catalog, in my humble opinion.

Peace Prevail
Peace Prevail is probably my favorite Raury track. The song is a simple and somber track where Raury takes a reflective tone. The melodies on the track are also very wonderful and calming. This track reminds me of something Damon Albarn might do. For anyone who doesn’t know I’m a huge Gorillaz fan, so this is a very positive association I’m making.
I feel like this song features more of Raury‘s personality than I’ve heard on any of his other songs. You get some of his personal feeling and memories of a social outcast. Sometime Raruy can get into these lofty ideas. It was nice to see him go for a more down to earth direct verse. Raury also delivers a hard hitting rap verse on the track that you don’t see coming. The song is just all around excellent in my opinion.
